Today my door bell rings unexpectedly. I open the door to discover that there are two plain clothes detectives from the Grapevine Police Department on my doorstep. Detective Moeller asks me, "are you Gerald Barnes?" I answered in the affirmative and He proceeds to identify himself and then asks me if I have been placing envelopes on churches in the Grapevine area? Again, I answer in the affirmative. He apologizes to me for having to question me on this, but he tells me that he has received complaints from two different churches in Grapevine. Although he does not reveal the identity of the churches, he states that the pastors feel threatened and want to make sure that I do not plan to carry out any violence or harm to them personally. He also tells me that he has read the petition that was placed on the churches and tells me that I have not broken any laws or committed any criminal acts. I assure both detectives that in no way do I plan any harm or violence against any pastors, churches, or anyone else. I then briefly share with the detectives information about my call as a prophet by the Almighty GOD, YAHWEH, and the mission that He has called me to perform. Both detectives are very professional, friendly, and courteous during our entire interview. I ask Detective Moeller for his business card. They then tell me "thank you" and tell me to call if I have any questions or concerns. I really appreciate the caliber of police officers, which was exemplified by Detective Moeller and his companion. It is very reassuring to me to know that we have such fine people serving in our local police department.
