It is early January of 2017. My wife Dottie and I have been walking in these new truths that GOD has revealed to us for approximately three months. We are walking in obedience to His Torah commandments and we were obedient not to celebrate Christmas. YAHWEH begins to reveal things to me by His Spirit with a very powerful and special anointing. I am seeking GOD in prayer regarding a wayward son who mistakenly believes that he is an atheist. I ask GOD what I can possibly do in order to reach out to this son. Over the next week, YAHWEH powerfully reveals things to me through His Spirit and through His Word. GOD reveals to me three things. First, He tells me that He is in the process of fixing me because I have been all messed up spiritually. Second, YAHWEH reveals to me that He will fix my relationship with all three of my sons that I have destroyed over the past several years because I had allowed the enemy to influence me to deal with my sons in truth and anger, rather than in truth and love. Third, YAHWEH told me that He would use me to assist Him in fixing His family, specifically His pastors and under-shepherds, because, like me, they are unknowingly obeying the traditions of men rather than the commandments of GOD.
No Christmas Celebration This Year
In my continuing relentless research, I learn about the pagan roots of the Greco/Roman holiday celebration of Christmas. I learn that Christmas is a mixture of pagan sun god worship and the story of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ (Yeshua HaMachiach). This mixture, which is abominable to YAHWEH GOD, has been christianized and sold to Christians worldwide as a legitimate Christian worship celebration. I inform my wife Dottie that YAHWEH no longer wants us to celebrate Christmas. Up until this point, Dottie has been completely on-board with every change in our lifestyle that YAHWEH has directed over the past two months. Dottie balks at this suggestion and becomes rather depressed for the next two weeks prior to December 25th. During this time, she reminds me that Christmas is a special time for family and especially for our grandkids. She tells me that Christmas does not mean pagan sun god worship to her and she begs YAHWEH and me to at least postpone the termination of Christmas celebration until December 2017. She is strongly addicted to a lifetime of Christmases. However, she finally relents and allows the termination of Christmas celebrations this year. YAHWEH wins and Satan loses this battle this year. However, there is always next year and next Christmas. Stay tuned.........
My Repentance
My wife and I begin to adjust our Christian walk and we immediately implement changes in our life that will bring us into complete compliance with the commandments of GOD that we have unknowingly been breaking. For the first time ever we begin to properly keep the Sabbath (Shabbat). We set apart the seventh day (Saturday) as Holy unto GOD and we do not work, buy, or sell. We stay home and rest and we spend quality time with YAHWEH and His Holy Word. YAHWEH reveals to us that we have unknowingly been breaking the first four of His Ten Commandments plus a whole host of lesser commandments. We learn that we have unknowingly and unintentionally been breaking GOD'S commandments because we have been following the traditions of men that were handed down to us from our spiritual forefathers.
My Awakening To Torah
I discover that most of the things that I have believed and practiced as a Christian for the past 45-years are based on the traditions of men rather than on the Word of GOD. As a result of this research, I become aware that I am unknowingly breaking the commandments of GOD and have been doing so for my entire Christian life. I feel so convicted by the Holy Spirit for the perverted Christian life-style that the enemy has deceived me into following that I want to tear my clothes and weep before GOD, just like King Josiah did in 2 Kings 22.
